A message from our new director

Following the departure of Mr. David Matthey-Doret from the role of director at the beginning of the year, I am delighted and honored to carry on our work with you as the new face of Docip’s management.

Coming from a background in the humanitarian and development world, I worked in the field from 2006 to 2015 for various NGOs in several countries: the Democratic Republic of Congo, Haiti, Algeria, the Central African Republic, Afghanistan and the Philippines. My earlier positions were primarily geared towards the financial component, in line with my academic training, before evolving into positions involving general coordination of projects in the field.

My career choices have always gravitated towards causes where it was possible for me to make a contribution. It is for this reason that joining Docip particularly pleases me. I will again have the opportunity to discover new horizons and to learn from you, indigenous peoples from around the world, about how to defend your fundamental rights.

I remain, of course, at your disposal at any time, and I will be very happy to meet you in the near future either at a conference or in one of our offices.

Yours sincerely,

Rémi Orsier
