Docip's services during the EMRIP 2016

2016-07-08

Docip has the pleasure to announce its presence at the 9th session of the Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (EMRIP) at the UN in Geneva, July 11-15, 2016. We will offer the following support services for all indigenous delegates attending the conference.

Technical Secretariat

Docip will set up a technical secretariat for Indigenous delegates in room E-3019 on the 2nd floor in Building E. Our office is open from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm.

Thanks to its vast network of multilingual volunteers Docip offers the following free services to all Indigenous delegates attending the meeting:

  • Translation to and from English, French, Spanish and Russian
  • Interpretation to and from English, French, Spanish and Russian for informal meetings and side-events
  • Photocopies and other administrative tasks

In order to support the Indigenous delegates’ work, Docip offers them an office in room E-3015 equipped with:

  • Computers and printers
  • Internet connection
  • Office supplies

There is also a free office space with computers and Wifi available at the Geneva Welcome Centre, close to the UN. For more information, please visit the CAGi website

On our website you can find more information on the EMRIP and on our technical secretariat. An excellent source of information is our "Welcome" guide which will also be distributed as hard-copy during the meeting.

For questions about the technical secretariat please contact Karen Pfefferli: karen(at)docip.org.

Documentation

Docip compiles statements delivered during the sessions of the EMRIP and posts them online in order to make them available to all, including those people who are unable to attend the conference. Statements from the sessions will be available at: http://bit.ly/statementsEMRIP_EN as soon as possible after receipt by our team.

Please deliver a copy of your statement to our documentation service! Our volunteers will ask you for it in the conference room, but you can also bring it to our office or send it by e-mail to documentation(at)docip.org. Thank you!

John Miller (john(at)docip.org), our documentation manager, will be happy to assist with your documentation needs.
