The 11th session's theme is “free, prior and informed consent”.

This session will also address: EMRIP country engagements, the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples: good practices and lessons learned, inter-sessional activities and follow-up on thematic studies and advice and the future work of EMRIP.

There will also be an interactive dialogue with national human rights institutions, regional human rights institutions and indigenous human rights institutions and a panel discussion on transitional justice (recognition, reconciliation and reparation).
