PGA consultation on Indigenous Peoples' participation in the UN

Docip has the pleasure to publish the following message from the Secretariat of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues.

The President of the 71st Session of the General Assembly will organize a consultation on the participation of Indigenous Peoples’ representatives and institutions in relevant United Nations meetings on issues affecting them.

The two-day meeting will take place at the UN Headquarters in New York (Trusteeship Council) on 14 and 15 December 2016.

Indigenous Peoples’ representatives and institutions that wish to participate at the consultation, please send an email to indigenous_un(at)un.org with the following information:

  • Name of the participant
  • Name of the organization
  • Email address

Once this has been processed, you will receive further instructions on access to the United Nations for the meeting on 14 & 15 December 2016.

Please note the deadline to register is Friday 9 December 2016
