WIPO IGC 21: dates and information

The 21st session of the Intergovernmental Committee on Intellectual Property and Genetic Resources, Traditional Knowledge and Folklore (IGC) will take place in Geneva from Monday, April 16 (10 a.m.) to 20, 2012. This session of the IGC will address the subject of traditional knowledge.

The preparatory meeting (Indigenous Consultative Forum) will be held on Sunday April 15, 2012, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. For organizations already accredited to the IGC, registrations will begin from 1:30 pm on this day. During the IGC week, consultative meetings will be held from 8:30 to 10:00 am. To be accredited to the IGC, an organization should complete the form found here and send it by email to grtkf@wipo.int 2 months before the conference. IGC 22 being scheduled July 9 to 13, 2012, the deadline to apply for accreditation is May 9, 2012.
