WIPO IGC 20: dates and information

At its last session in 2011, WIPO General Assembly had agreed on the mandate for the Intergovernmental Committee on Intellectual Property and Genetic Resources, Traditional Knowledge and Folklore (IGC) for the 2011-2013 biennium.

The 20th session of the IGC will take place in Geneva from Tuesday February 14, 2012 to Wednesday February 22, 2012. The preparatory meeting (Indigenous Consultative Forum) will be held on Monday February 13, 2012, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. For organizations already accredited to the IGC, registrations will begin from 1:30 pm on this day. During the IGC week, i.e. February 14 to 22, 2012 (except Sunday the 19th), consultative meetings will be held from 8:30 to 10:00 am. Please note that to be accredited to the IGC, an organization should complete the form found here and send it by email to grtkf@wipo.int 2 months before the conference. IGC 21 being scheduled April 16-20, 2012, the deadline to apply for accreditation is February 16, 2012.
