How is the doCip Periodicals Database structured?

There is a common search form. There is also a classifier named "Periodicals by region". Inside you will find an arborescence : Region -> Title ->Year.

How and what to search?

Search by digitized table of contents or by the title of the publication.

The tables of contents have been digitized with Optical character recognition (OCR) which allows for you to search directly for terms found in them. If you are looking for information about the Yanomami, for example, you can write the word in the search function: after pressing the "Begin search" button, you will see a list of the publications and the specific numbers of each in which the Yanomami are mentioned. Afterwards, you can either contact doCip or else contact the organisation which edited the publication to obtain access to the content of the articles which interest you.

If there is an electronic version of the publication, you will see the link on the record.
